I did the OS upgrade this morning and checked out the App store. It looks just like the iPad iTunes store interface. The first app that caught my eye was Pixelmator (link to company website), an image editing app. At 29.99 I wanted to wait till there were some reviews before I bought it.
Well it didn’t take long. As of now the app has 20 ratings with 17 five star, 2 four star and 1 one star, there’s always somebody. So I bought it and its great. I have used Photoshop since its was the 1.0 version, so I was pleased to see a very Photoshop oriented layout and menu structure. I do limited image editing and for me Photoshop is overkill and over priced, but what choice did I have? (I hate The Gimp.)
Pixelmator (link to App store) is great, fast and perfect for those people that need to do some image editing but don’t want to drop $800 on Photoshop.
