Hewlett-Packard's webOS to include NFC

In a not very surprising update, Bloomberg reports that Hewlett-Packard’s webOS mobile operating system it purchased from Palm will have NFC functionality by the end of the year.

From Bloomberg:

“Other folks are going to build this capability into devices, so, competitively, HP needs to do that,” said Ed Finkler, an independent programmer who has created an application for devices that run Palm’s WebOS operating system.”

So yeah, HP needs to do that but its still playing catch up in a fast moving world with big monkey at stake.
